Associate Director of ISS and Lecturer in History and International Affairs, taught the required International Relations seminar on "The Foundations and Evolution of the International System" in Fall 2006. In Spring 2007, as part of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy at Yale, he led "The Grand Strategy of the Great Powers" in International Relations, and, through History, a Directed Reading on "Anglo-American Relations, 1776-2007." He spoke to Yale audiences on a variety of topics in international affairs and grand strategy, and published entries on "The Commonwealth" and "The Olympic Games" in John Merriman and Jay Winter, eds., Europe, 1789-1914 and Europe Since 1914 (Charles Scribner's Sons, 2006). He received his PhD in History in 1999 from Yale and is under contract with Frank Cass for Selling Europe: The Struggle Over European Integration in Britain, 1956-63, a book based on his revised thesis.
