Students with inquiries, concerns or complaints regarding a specific service provided by the University should first review information on that office’s web site (many are listed at right) and then contact Dean Lisa Brandes as needed. Students are encouraged to view the University’s online guide to Living in New Haven for information regarding off-campus and community services.
Blue telephones are stationed throughout campus for use in an emergency by dialing 111. Students and their families may use the free daytime and nighttime transit and security shuttles and the uniformed escort services (203 432-WALK) in and around campus. Please do not walk alone at night.
Yale’s Police Department and Office of Security Awareness provide information on various safety programs and security features available on Yale's campus, including security escorts and crime- and theft-prevention measures. The University works closely with the New Haven Police Department on all security and policing matters.
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety implements and monitors all health and safety requirements governing the University, including required training for those who will be working in laboratories.
