Fulbright
U.s. student program
GRADUATE & PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS
In 1946, the US Congress created the Fulbright
Program to foster mutual understanding among nations through
educational and cultural exchange. The primary focus of these grants
is the promotion of personal development and intellectual, professional
and artistic growth achieved through international exchange and
cross-cultural interactions conducted in an environment of openness,
academic integrity and intellectual freedom. Currently the U.S.
student program awards approximately 1,000 grants annually and operates
in over 140 countries worldwide.
