Services Update We have decided to delay the bulk transfer of dossier files to Interfolio until March 2008. This new transfer date is a less busy time for applicants, the dossier office and Interfolio, giving us an ideal time for a smooth transition. Between now and then, all students who currently have a file in the Dossier Office may continue to work with Yvette Barnard in that office for mailing applications. Additionally, we will be happy to help any users who would like to have their file transferred to Interfolio before the March date. Please contact Yvette Barnard to discuss any dossier questions, file transfers, establishing an Interfolio account and file materials.
Interfolio, the premier application
portfolio management service, is now the provider of dossier
management for all students and alumni. It is the easiest
and most affordable way to store and deliver application
materials. The online system allows you to build a portfolio — a complete file of all your credentials. Nearly any document can be stored, including, but not limited to
• Confidential letters of recommendation
• Resumes, Curriculum Vitae
• Statement(s) of purpose
• Writing samples
• Dissertation abstracts
• Teaching Portfolio documents
• Supervising teacher evaluations
• Student & peer evaluations
• Transcripts
Costs
GSAS will sponsor currently enrolled GSAS students creating a new dossier file for a two year Interfolio membership and provide $50.00 in mailing credits for that contract period. GSAS will sponsor currently enrolled students, and very recent alums whose files are to be transferred, to a one year Interfolio membership and provide a $25.00 mailing credit for that contract period. At the end of the contract period, you may maintain your account with Interfolio at their contract rate, currently $15.00/year + mailing costs. With the exception of those listed above, all alumni will finance their own accounts with Interfolio
Getting Started
Existing HGS Dossier File Holders All files held in the Dossier Office which show activity since August 1, 2005 will be forwarded to Interfolio the week of December 17 and uploaded into individual accounts. You do NOT need to open an Interfolio file, it will happen for you automatically in December. Go to instructions and forms.
New Dossier Files Graduate students currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences without a current dossier file on file in HGS, can start their account immediately. Once you have established an Interfolio membership, you can begin to build your file.
Alumni Any alumni may access Interfolio to create an account
