Dates and Deadlines
Please note that all deadlines are subject to change at any time.
Summer-Fall 2009. Applicants should take respective GRE, GRE Subject, TOEFL, and IELTS exams no later than November (required exams) in order to guarantee that official scores reach the Graduate School by the application deadline for the department to which you are applying, December 4, 2009, December 15, 2009 or January 2, 2010.
Mid-August 2009. Application becomes available online for Fall 2010 admission.
December 4, 2009. Deadline for Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS). All supplemental materials and official standardized test scores must be received by this date to be considered by Yale for Fall 2010 admission.
December 15, 2009. Deadline for Economics, Epidemiology and Public Health, History, Political Science, Psychology and Urban Education. All supplemental materials and official standardized test scores must be received by this date to be considered by Yale for Fall 2010 admission.
January 2, 2010. Deadline for all other departments. All supplemental materials and official standardized test scores should be received to be considered by Yale for Fall 2010 admission. Applications cannot be submitted after this date.
January-March 2010. Applications for fall 2010 reviewed by departments and programs.
February-March 2010. Official admissions decisions for fall 2010 communicated to applicants.
April 15, 2010. Deadline for applicant responses to most offers of admission for fall 2010.
