Summer - Fall 2008
Applicants should take respective GRE, GRE Subject, TOEFL, and IELTS exams no later than November in order to guarantee that official scores reach the Graduate School by the application deadline for the department to which you are applying, December 5, 2008, December 15, 2008 or January 2, 2009.

Mid-August 2008
Application becomes available online for Fall 2009 admission.

December 5, 2008
Deadline for Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS). All supplemental materials, credentials and recommendations, official standardized test scores, and application fee must be received by this date to be considered by Yale for Fall 2009 admission.

December 15, 2008
Deadline for Computer Science, Economics, Epidemiology and Public Health, Political Science and Psychology. All supplemental materials, credentials and recommendations, official standardized test scores, and application fee must be received by this date to be considered by Yale for Fall 2009 admission.

January 2, 2009
Deadline for all other departments The application fee must be received by this date and all supplemental materials, recommendations, official standardized test scores, and transcripts should be received to be considered by Yale for Fall 2009 admission. Applications cannot be submitted after this date.

January - March 2008
Applications reviewed by departments and programs

February - March 2008
Official admissions decisions posted and mailed.

April 15, 2008
Deadline for applicant responses to most offers of admission.
