Markus: Initially, it was convenience that prompted my decision to move into a graduate dorm (HGS). It was a place where I meant to stay for a year before moving off-campus. However, I have been living here for four years with no intention of moving out. Not only is HGS affordable, centrally located and well-maintained, it also offers a fantastic social life. Without living in HGS, I would have never met so many graduate students from other departments - some of which have become my best friends at Yale.
