Members of the advocacy committee are currently in discussions with university administrators and a dental insurance company with the hopes of implementing a dental insurance program in the very near future.  Please stay tuned to this site and your email inboxes for future announcements regarding this exciting program!

In the meantime there are currently three options available to graduate and professional students for discounted dental care.

The Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) at Yale has published a list of local dentists who provide discounts to Yale graduate students.  That lists can be found here:

Additionally, GSA was able to negotiate a Dental Discount (as well as Vision Care) program through Co-Health Online.  Information on this program can be downloaded here: http://www.yale.edu/yhp/med_services/pdf/Student_Vision_and_Dental_Brochure1-2007.pdf.

Finally, after you’ve received that root canal and your wallet is hurting just as much as your ailing tooth, GPSS may be able to help relieve some of the financial burden.  The GPSS Dental Expense Fund is designed to offset the out-of-pocket dental costs incurred by graduate and professional students without university-sponsored dental care.  Please visit the Dental Expense Fund link (http://www.yale.edu/gpss/Funding/DEF.html) for further information on how and when to apply.
