Locks of Love Hair Drive

Participants must have 6 inches of hair to donate that has not been chemically treated or bleached. Local salons will be providing free haircuts to hair donors. For those who do not have enough hair to donate, haircuts will be provided for a $25 donation to the Locks of Love organization.

Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to
financially disadvantaged children with long-term medical hair loss.
Most of these children suffer from a condition called Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disorder that causes the hair follicles to shut off.
Other recipients of our hairpieces have suffered severe burns, or have survived radiation treatment to the brain stem as a treatment for cancer. All these conditions result in permanent hair loss.
