Global Health Week Scheduled Events
Saturday, February 3
7:30-9 pm, 263 Street Hall: Opening Concert/Cultural Show An eclectic and talented show featuring student performing groups including the Spizzwinks, The Yale Bhangra Team, The Yale Slavic Chorus, A Different Drum Dance Co., WORD, ASEMPA, and The Yale Irish Dancers. This show is sure to be an explosive and inspiring start to an awesome Global Health Week!

2 pm, Old Campus: GHW Kickoff Event Join us for hot chocolate, s’mores and music to warm up on a cold winter afternoon—also a perfect way to get ready for the
Superbowl! Come find out more about what GHW is all about!
Monday, February 5
Beineke Plaza, Old Campus: Global Health Mural Unveiling A student-painted mural will be on display in Beineke Plaza and
Old Campus all day and throughout the week. Stop by to admire this great piece of artwork with a strong message!
4:30 pm, Location TBA: Cookies and Conversation with Dr. Anastos
9 pm, LC 211: Film Screening of Salud ¡Salud! looks at the curious case of Cuba, a cash-strapped country
with what the BBC calls "one of the world’s best health systems." From the shores of Africa to the Americas, !Salud! explores the
hearts and minds of international medical students in Cuba - now numbering 30,000, including nearly 100 from the USA. Their
stories and testimony from experts worldwide bring home the complex realities confronting the movement to make healthcare
everyone’s birth right. (Introduction by Dr. Lillian Guerra)

5 pm, LC 102: The University’s Role in Global Health: A Forum What should Yale be doing about global health? Join Global Health
Week and faculty members of the Medical School, Public Health School, and Law School as a panel of experts debates how far and in what ways the Old Blue should be involved overseas.
6-8 pm, Dwight Hall: International Dinner** Enjoy delicious entrees from New Haven restaurants such as Ivy
Noodle, The Whole Enchilada, Pad Thai, and Brick Oven Pizza while raising money for Partners in Health!

9 pm - 1 am, Morse Dining Hall: The Global Movement: Dance-Off** An exciting end to the week, join us for one of the hottest dance parties of the
year, the GHW "dance-off" in Morse Dining Hall. The talent of DJ Machete, great food and themed hours (limbo, salsa/merengue, glow stick), special performances and a little bit of optional competition will make this event hard to miss out on! Be there!
