PENNSYLVANIA FREEMAN |
JULY 18, 1844
The following taken from last Tuesday's Ledger is one of the most auspicious signs we have seen since the cessation of the riots:
Committed for Arson.-Abraham Freymine was yesterday arrested, by Constable Charles Roberts, on the charge of having set fire to the Pennsylvania Hall, and committed to answer by Alderman Erety. The defendant has been absent from the city nearly all the time since the destruction of that building.
