Blue Trail in Northeastern Connecticut

On the Blue Trail trips, freshmen get to hike the Nipmunk Trail through the Bigelow Hollow State Park and the Yale Forest, which is maintained by Yale's own School of Forestry. The trail passes through mixed deciduous and evergreen woodlands. Amazing swimming opportunities and beautiful vistas accompany lakeside campsites.

This trail is less arduous than the other trails, which leaves ample bonding time with fellow freshmen. For more information on the Blue Trail, please visit the Connecticut Forest and Park Association.
