Property insurance claims are administered by the Office of Risk Management. Yale University’s property insurance covers any accidental damage to University property due to fire, flood, and theft, among other causes, but there are some exclusions or restrictions that apply.

Departments will be charged a deductible of $1,000 per claim.

Personal property of Yale Faculty, Staff or Students is not covered under the University Property Policy. More information on how personal property can be protected while on campus can be found here.
