Owner Controlled Insurance Program

On May 24, 2005, The Office of Risk Management, in conjunction with the Office of Facilities, entered into an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) for select capital projects. The OCIP provides general liability and workers compensation insurance for all contractors enrolled in the program. These contractors will not have to purchase their own insurance, resulting in potential savings to Yale of .5-1.5% of the total construction value.

Administration

The OCIP is administered by Risk Strategies Company (RSC), Boston, MA.
