Katie Trumpener's work on film includes The Divided Screen: The Cinemas of Postwar Germany (forthcoming, Princeton University Press) and numerous articles on the history and cultural history of German cinema. She has also taught courses on the Eastern European New Waves, European film of the 1930s, postwar European history films, musical films, feminist film and film theory. Other research interests include the history of the European novel, European modernism, the history of childhood, Central Europe, and modern British literature.
