photoRon Sider. The Yale Center for Faith & Culture is delighted to invited you to a Theology Live series lecture by the renowned theologian and activist Ron Sider. Dr. Sider's lecture, “How Do We Empower the Poor? Reflections from my Life," will take place Thursday, January 26, 2006, 12:30 p.m., Niebuhr Lecture Hall, Yale Divinity School. His desire is to provoke and encourage conversation with students about how to work through faith and the life of the church to make a difference in relation to the struggles of the poor. If you wish to prepare for the conversation, please read any of his many works but especially Just Generosity, Churches that Make a Difference, or Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger (Second Edition).

Dr. Sider is Professor of Theology at Palmer Seminary (Formerly Eastern Seminary) and Director of the Sider Center on Ministry and Public Policy as well as President of Evangelicals for Social Action.
