In pursuit
of this mission the project seeks:
- to articulate Christian faith not as a changing collection
of ad hoc beliefs or even as a set of interrelated convictions
but as a vision of a way of life;
- to help pastors and the people they shepherd embody such
a faith in their own lives as individuals and communities;
- to help pastors communicate faith as a way of life in
compelling ways, through preaching, teaching, and all
the ministries carried out by their churches.
- to introduce changes into the processes of theological
education that make them better suited for the preparation
of pastors.
“Through participating in the National
Working Group, I’ve experienced growth as a leader in my
congregation and as a Christian looking to walk faithfully
with Christ. These studies and connec-tions among members
of the group have opened new vistas to my understanding
of faith and faithful action.”
