FWL’s strategy has three components.
Practice of Pastoral Ministry. FWL will seek to promote pastoral excellence by generating a conversation among pastors and two key groups of people between whom, in a sense, pastoral ministry is situated: laypersons to whom the pastors primarily mediate faith as a way of life on the one hand, and academic theologians as experts on “the faith” on the other.
Education for Pastoral Ministry. FWL’s attention to theological education aims at the wider establishment of courses that help pastors-in-training to grasp and communicate the life-encompassing and life-transforming reality of faith.
Publications Linking Practice and Education. A key way for FWL to have a wider impact will be producing resources, printed and electronic, to help pastors and laypersons think about the Christian faith as a single whole that shapes life in an integral way.
