Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Robert Schwartz joined Yale University in January 2004 and is currently the Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Prior to joining Yale University, Rob was the vice president of human resources and administration for the biomedical services division of the American Red Cross.  He has previously served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Teleglobe Telecommunication Corporation in Reston, Virginia. Rob joined Teleglobe from Nabisco Holdings Corp., where he was senior vice president of human resources for Nabisco's Canadian subsidiary, Nabisco Ltd. Earlier, he held a series of senior level positions with Nabisco in organization effectiveness, business redesign, staffing and talent management, training and development as well as employee relations.

Before joining Nabisco, Rob held managerial roles in human resources for Frito-Lay, Inc. and American Hospital Supply Corp., now part of Baxter International.  He holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
