GENERAL ORDERING INFORMATION

1) Will I get special Yale pricing using E-Way?

Yes. Yale’s special pricing, based on volume discounts, will automatically display when you use E-Way. There is no need to call Corporate Express to find out Yale’s pricing or even use a printed catalog because all the items are easily accessible online with the opportunity to view photographs and detailed descriptions.

2) What do I do if an item does not appear in the online catalog?

Use the “Special Order” feature in E-Way that allows you to request a custom item such as a rubber stamp with special wording.

3) Is there a dollar limit on E-Way orders?

Your order limit is determined by your Yale Purchasing Card limit.

4) Is there a time saving method for ordering frequently purchased items?

Yes, you can create your own order template for items that you frequently purchase using the Shopping List function. This will save you a great deal of time not having to look up items in the online catalog every time you place an order. See page 4 of the E-Way QuickStart (a.k.a. “E-Way Tip Sheet”) for instructions on using Shopping Lists.

5) What do I do if I have an “emergency” order and must have my order by the next day?

E-Way orders can be processed for next-day delivery up until 4:00pm. Call Customer Service at Corporate Express if it is after 4:00pm to place a phone order. Let the customer service representative know that your order is urgent and needed the next day. The good news is that generally, Corporate Express delivers better than 98% of its orders the next day.

6) Can I save an order in E-Way?

Yes, you can save an order for up to ninety (90) days in E-Way without submitting it. As a best business practice, use this feature to build bigger orders to save processing costs. (It costs more to place two orders for $25 each than one order for $50.)

7) Is my processed order information maintained in E-Way?

After you submit an order, your order history is maintained for ninety (90) days in the E-Way system. If you need to save your orders indefinitely, e-mail a copy of the order to yourself and build your own archive.

8) What is the preferred method of paying for a Corporate Express order?

The preferred method for ordering with Corporate Express is via SciQuest, Yale's eProcurement Solution.In the event that you are unable to access Sciquest, please use a Yale Purchasing Card directly with Corporpate Express. Here's how: First Time Visitors.

9) Can I use split-charging in E-Way?

SciQuest will allow split charging for Corporate Express orders. However, if you use a Yale Purchasing Card you will be unable to split your charges when ordering directly with Corporate Express. Yale Purchasing Card charges can later be split using Yale's Expense Management System (EMS).
