Community Engagement

Achieving the University’s commitment to becoming a sustainable campus provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in a variety of activities.  Individuals play a significant role in helping Yale to meet sustainability goals as well as educating others on environmental issues and enjoying the natural environment.

Get Involved!

Members of the community can join an environmental organization, seek an internship, purchase “green” products, recycle, change their commuting habits and keep informed about the range of campus sustainability efforts.

Student Organizations

There are many student organizations and interest groups at Yale that have specific or wide-ranging environmental concerns or goals. For example, there are student environmental groups in the School of Forestry & Environmental Students, Yale Law School and the School of Management that reflect the academic pursuits of students in those schools.

Organizations such as the Yale Student Environmental Coalition engage students on a wide variety of environmental issues and projects.
