Conference Papers
Deadline for the submission of papers
Draft papers will be posted on the conference website starting 15 April. Draft papers must be submitted electronically in Word (.doc) format to the Secretariat no later than 30 April 2008. The deadline for completing a final paper to be included int he official conference proceedings is 30 May 2008.
Format of the full paper
The paper should not exceed 10 pages in length, excluding bibliography (Times Roman 11 point, 1.5 space). A major portion of the paper should be devoted to analysis. The style to be used is the Chicago Manual of Style 15b (Author-Date). A brief overview of this style can be found at http://library.williams.edu/citing/styles/chicago2.php
Conference Certificate
All selected papers will be posted on the Conference website and in the Conference proceedings, subject to meeting relevant requirements determined by the review committee. The Secretariat will issue a Certificate to the authors of all officially selected papers.
Panelists
Notification of selected panelists
A number of authors will be asked to present highlights of their papers in 10 minute panel presentation. Panelists will be informed by the 1st week of April 2008.
Participation in the Conference
Participation of co-authors
Co-authors may participate in the Conference subject to independent coverage of all costs.
Funding
Funding of travel of participants
There is some limited funding to support the travel of participants — particularly from developing countries. The allocation of this funding will be communicated to the participants by the end of March. Participants are also encouraged to seek alternative sources of funding.
Funding of other participants
Given limited funding, no additional sponsorship of travel and accommodation is available. Should this situation change, respective participants will contacted by the end of March.
Logistics
Visa arrangements
Participants of the conference are responsible of obtaining their travel visas. The Secretariat at Yale University will provide a letter to support visa application procedures. Please indicate such on your Registration Form. For questions, please contact envdem @ yale.edu.
Accommodation and meals during the stay in New Haven
The Secretariat will take care of hotel booking, meals arrangements and local travel for all sponsored participants. Participants that cover their costs and plan to take advantage of block booking are encouraged to contact the Secretariat.
