Akshay is a first-year doctoral student in the Elimelech Research Group in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University. While his specific research interests are as yet undefined he is broadly interested in the modeling of the various processes which form an integral part of the water-energy nexus.
During his undergraduate studies Akshay was afforded the opportunity to work in the undertake research and development work on three occasions. Having worked for BP during two of his long vacations Akshay enjoyed the opportunity to apply his theoretical knowledge to real world problems in the energy sector.
Having grown up on the other side of the pond, Akshay is thoroughly enjoying his immersion into American culture whilst continuing to play, and pretend to play, cricket and basketball.
