INTERESTS: English Renaissance drama; modern and contemporary British, Irish, United States, and Commonwealth drama; British, Irish, and Shakespeare film.
Murray Biggs is most interested in the interplay of text and performance. He teaches both dramatic literature and theatre practice (acting and directing), and directs undergraduate productions. Performance is the subject of most of his published articles. He co-edited The Arts of Performance in Elizabethan and Early Stuart Drama (1991).
