Placement Test

A placement test, which takes about two and a half hours, will be administered on Monday, June 29, 2009, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Students must take the placement test to participate in the English Language Institute intensive language programs.

Students applying to the professional seminars will not take this test. Seminar students may be asked to take an alternative assessment of language abilities determined by the seminar leader.

Classroom Procedures

Classes begin for seminar students on Monday, June 29, 2009.
Classes begin for intensive language students on Tuesday, June 30, 2009.

Certificates of Participation and Attendance Policies

At the conclusion of the program students will receive a grade report and an official Yale certificate awarded upon the successful completion of all work and requirements.
Class attendance is mandatory, and absences beyond the established limit will result in loss of credit and possible expulsion from the program.
