Bloodborne Pathogen Training for Lab and Clinic Personnel
Required annually for laboratory and clinic personnel working with human materials, including blood, body fluids, unfixed tissues, human cell lines or bloodborne pathogens, this training covers the exposure control principles and practices encompassing engineering controls, work practices and personnel protective equipment.

You will be required to complete the quiz at the end of
the guide and return the completed quiz to: EHS, 135 College
Street, 1st Floor, ATTN: BBP Training, to receive credit
for the course.
There are also two types of Bloodborne Pathogen web trainings available
on line.
Faculty and staff who complete the web-based Bloodborne
Pathogen Training for Clinic or Patient Care Setting are eligible to receive CME credit from the Yale Continuing
Medical Education Department. The
University designated this web-based training as an educational
activity for a maximum of 1 Category 1 credit toward
the American Medical Association Physician’s
Recognition Award.
