Recordbreaking Class Gift
Class GiftThe YDS Office of Alumni Relations would like to applaud the Class of 2013 for their outstanding gift to future YDS students. This year’s gift committee raised more money by a graduating class than any other class in YDS history. The total raised as of today is $13,022.26 with 65% participation by the class.

A growing trend in the Class Gift is contributions made in honor of particular students by YDS Faculty, including Emilie Townes, Gregory Sterling, Christopher Beeley, and Lamin Sanneh. This year a number of current students, staff and alumni also contributed in honor of students.

All who are interested in giving to the 2013 Class Gift can do so at http://divinity.yale.edu/class-gift

How is your congregation meeting the needs of its aging members?

The Fall 2013 issue of Reflections will focus on the aging society - How is society preparing for the coming boomer wave of aging? How are individuals preparing? Does the faith need new theologies of aging, new models of retirement?
If you have creative approaches your congregation or non-profit has adopted to meet the challenges of older members or citizens, we’d like to know! This could include any program involving older people or retirees or promoting a spirituality of aging.
