Yale Divinity at AAR and SBL annual meetings
Yale faculty and alumni were well represented at the annual meetings of both the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical literature, held, respectively, Nov. 7-10 in Montreal and Nov. 21-24 in New Orleans.  At the AAR meeting, two panels were distinctly YDS-centric— a discussion of the Faith and Globalization course co-taught by Professor Miroslav Volf and former Prime Minister Tony Blair; and another focused on Professor Emeritus David Kelsey’s book Eccentric Existence: A Theological Anthropology (Westminster John Knox Press, 2009)  At both meetings, YDS hosted well-attended receptions for Yale-related scholars.
