Save the Date: Convocation 2005 Slated for Oct. 10-13
Convocation 2005 will be celebrated Oct. 10-13, featuring the Lyman Beecher Lectures, Nathaniel Taylor Lectures, the Berkeley Divinity School Pitt Lecture, and the Institute of Sacred Music Kavanagh Lecture . The lecturers will be Harry S. Stout (Beecher Lectures), Jonathan Edwards Professor of American Religious History, Yale University, with appointments in History, Religious Studies, American Studies, and the Divinity School; William P. Alston (Taylor Lectures), Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Syracuse University; and the Most Rev. Dr. Robin Eames (Pitt Lecture), Primate of Ireland and Chair of the Lambeth Commission. The Kavanagh lecturer has yet to be finalized.
Classes celebrating major reunions include 1950 (55th), 1955 (50th), and 1980 (25th). Three cluster reunions will be held, for the classes of 1964-66, 1984-86, and 1999-01.
