Financial Aid Application Instructions and Forms
While a student's decision to pursue a graduate degree at Yale is based primarily on academic considerations, the role of financial support is an increasingly important facet of a successful graduate career.
Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need – the negative difference between the cost of attending the Divinity School and the personal and non-Divinity School resources available to the student during the academic year. In order to determine financial need the student must submit the following information:
- Financial Aid Application
- Prior Year Federal Income Tax Return form 1040
- 2008 for the 2009-10 academic year
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- YDS 2009-2010 Fnancial Aid Application Information and Check List (pdf)
Deadlines
Financial aid application deadline for admission applicants is March 1.
Financial aid application deadline for continuing students is April 1.
