Office of Career Services For Current Students Student Studying

In 2003, Yale Divinity School became one of only a handful of theological schools offering professional career services to its students and alumni/ae. Divinity Career Services office is physically located in room S-116. Services offered by the office include:

Unlimited individual career and vocational counseling for students.
Career tests, such as the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Workshops on resume writing, CV writing, job search strategies, credential files, etiquette, and interviewing skills
Participation in an email list of vacancies advertised to the divinity school.
Individual critiques of resumes and other placement materials after participation in a general workshop.
A small lending library of career resources, including books on various career fields, resume and cover letter writing, and graduate school testing.
Access to an online credential file service (dossier service).
Access to a web log linking students to relevant and timely career search information.
Access to the university-wide Yale Career Network. Students can contact alumni/ae for information about specific careers and employers and to set up mentoring relationships.
Creation of sermon CDs for use in the call process for future pastors.
