O'Driscoll, Mary Ellen'02 M.Div.
After studying at YDS, Mary Ellen served as a parish Pastoral Associate at the Catholic Community of St. Bridget in the Archdiocese of Hartford for seven years. She then moved to Washington, DC to serve at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, the domestic anti-poverty program of the Catholic Church in the United States. The focus of her work was on animating the efforts of parishes and dioceses to share and act on Catholic Social Teaching. Currently, she serves as Program Officer at the Humanitas Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation inspired by the vision of the Second Vatican Council which seeks to enrich the life of the Catholic Church in the United States and to enhance the Church’s outreach to the marginalized and disadvantaged. This move brought her home to New York, where she is delighted to be able to spend more time with family and friends. It also affords her the opportunity to fan the flames of her lifelong passion for the New York Mets.
