The Divinity School will host a program and dinner in conjunction with the Middle Passage Conversations on Black Religion in the African Diaspora. The program for the evening will include a welcome by Emilie M. Townes,
Andrew W. Mellon Professor of African American Religion and Theology; an invocation by Sam Slie '52 M.Div.; Introductions by Harold W. Attridge, Dean and Lillian Claus Professor of New Testament; dinner; an update on "Been in the Storm So Long: Yale Divinity School and the Black Ministry" Project by Yolanda Y. Smith, Assistant Professor of Christian Education, and Moses N. Moore, Jr. '77 M.Div.; dessert; remarks from Dean Attridge; and a closing prayer by Joan Cooper Burnett '04 M.Div.
