Yale Divinity School On-Campus Housing

Whether you are coming to YDS as a single student or as a family, several on-campus housing options are available to you.

The standard YDS apartments are UNFURNISHED.

Included in your monthly rent are heat, hot water, electricity, and internet.  One parking space per unit will be provided to students who have cars.  Proof of vehicle ownership is required.  Each building has coin-operated laundry facilities in the basement. Single beds are loaned on a first come, first served basis, as there is a limited supply. 

Monthly rent for 2009-2010 for UNFURNISHED apartments:

Junior One-Bedroom	$830
One-Bedroom	$960
Two-Bedroom	$1,090

 

YDS does offer a limited number of FURNISHED apartments.  The same utilities listed above are included.  Furnished apartments generally come with a double/full size bed, bureau, end tables with lamps, love seat & chair, coffee table, small kitchen table with chairs, area rugs, microwave, and some kitchenware.  In furnished two-bedroom apartments, the second bedroom comes with a single bed.

Housing applications are mailed with your admissions acceptance packet.  Your housing form must be returned along with your admissions acceptance forms.  Space is limited, so housing applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis.  Every effort will be made to accommodate your preference of apartment size.  Once your housing application is received, an apartment will be assigned to you, and you will receive an email notification with a housing contract as an attachment.

The YDS Housing Office is located in Bellamy Hall, 354 Canner Street, room 631. Office hours and key pick-up times are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, by appointment only beginning August 15th every year.  The YDS apartment buildings are located adjacent to Sterling Divinity Quadrangle.
