Welcome to YDS Housing

On behalf of the YDS Facilities Office, welcome to YDS Housing. Whether you are coming to YDS as a single student, or as a family, a variety of housing options are available to you.

YDS Housing Office is located in Bellamy Hall, 354 Canner Street, room 631. Office hours and key pick up times are Monday through Friday from 9:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m, by appointment only beginning August 15th every year. The YDS apartment buildings are located adjacent to the Yale Divinity School.

Apartment applications are mailed to you with your admissions acceptance packet. Housing applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Your housing application must be returned in conjunction with the return of your admissions acceptance packet. The housing application will be date stamped the day it is received. We will make every attempt to accommodate your preference of apartment size. Once the Facilities Office receives your application an apartment will be assigned to you. You will receive an email notification with a housing contract as an attachment.

The standard YDS Apartments are UNFURNISHED (see below for FURNISHED unit pricing). Included in your monthly rent is Heat, Hot Water, Electricity, Ethernet, parking for one car per unit. Single beds are loaned on a first come – first served basis as there is a limited supply. Each building has coin operated laundry facilities in the basement.

We do offer a limited amount of FURNISHED Apartments. The same utilities are included. The Bedroom is furnished with a double/full size bed, bureau, end tables with lamps and an area rug.  The living Room has a love seat with matching chair, coffee table, end tables and lamps with an area rug. The Kitchen has a kitchen table with 2 chairs. In the 2 bedroom furnished apartments, the 2nd bedroom has a twin bed, end tables with lamps and an area rug.
