Q Source
2004 Commencement Edition
Note from the editor
It has been wonderful serving you as
the editor of the Q Source for the past two years. As I am graduating with my Master of Sacred
Theology this week, it is time to turn the reigns over to a new editor – Congratulations
to Callista Brown who begins her tenure as the new editor of the “Q Source” in
the fall. Blessings to you
all… my time hear at Yale has been
wonderful, beyond words. I will be
serving a Detroit church as a pastor beginning this fall. If you are in the area please look me up at
Metropolitan United Methodist Church.
God Bless You All – Faith E. Green
The Q Source is published weekly under the auspices of the office of the
Dean of Students. Notices of events and
concerns of the community are included. All submissions must be signed and
include a contact phone number or e-mail address. Free classified ads are also printed for
members of the YDS community; these must be kept as short as possible. The Q
Source is now available online at http://www.yale.edu/divinity/Stu.QSource.html All submissions must be e-mailed to faith.green@yale.edu. All
submissions must be in by 5:00 p.m. Friday.
No exceptions to deadlines will be
made!! The right to edit is reserved. --Faith E.
Green, Editor
Money and Resources in Women's

Street, New Haven. Bring a light lunch at 12:15 p.m. and coffee will be

Commencement
Photos
2004 class composites will be ready for pick-up after the
Commencement Worship Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. There will be a table
set up on the Quad (in case of rain, the Sarah Smith Gallery-- the hallway with
all of those fabulous, framed photos) after the ceremony. At that table
will be not one, but TWO Jamies (Manson and O’Brien) to give you your composites
(and perhaps one or two other parting gifts…).
Now, there is a catch (because your $40 check simply wasn’t enough). In order to receive your composite, we are
requesting that you fill out the Graduate Survey posted on our website.
Go to
www.yale.edu/divinity/Careers and click on “Graduate Survey.” (Ironically,
there is a photo of Jamie O’Brien on that web page… hmmm.) If you do not
have time to fill out the survey, or if you do not have web access, a paper
version of the survey will be available at the “Jamie” table. But you
really don’t want to spend your time on Sunday afternoon filling out a survey
now, do you???
If you will not be present for Sunday’s festivities, the Jamie table will be
set up in the Common Room on Monday. However, we HIGHLY recommend your
picking them up on Sunday. Trust me, it will be much easier for all of
us. If you will not be attending any of
the Commencement Weekend activities, please email me a home address where I can
send the composite to you at: jamie.manson@yale.edu.
Second, there will be a group photo of the YDS Class of 2004 in full cap and
gown regalia in front of the steps of Marquand on Sunday BEFORE the 4pm worship
begins. If you want to be in this photo (it’s really fun…really), please
be on the steps no later than 3:15pm.
You will be given the opportunity to order copies of this photo during the
summer.
Commencement Choir
All are welcome to sing in the choir for the Commencement
Worship service at 4pm this coming Sunday (May 23rd). Rehearsal will be at 2pm
on Sunday in Marquand Chapel. Please e-mail me at
christopher.hossfeld@yale.edu so that I know how many to expect. Thank
you.
