Nourishment to start the day…
Sustainable = local, seasonal, humane, ecological and good.
12 grain cranberry walnut bread, organic muffins, local bagels, organic plain yogurt, organic bakeshop granola and seasonal fresh fruit. Accompanied by organic peanut butter, organic butter and local honey.
And that’s not all…
Served with organic orange juice, assorted teas and Yale Blend by Willoughby’s Fair Trade coffee and decaf.
Sustainable Other Meals
As part of Yale Catering’s commitment to supporting a sustainable campus, we can design a sustainable menu & options for your event.
Criteria include:
- use of locally grown/produced and/or organic foods; this will vary by season
- identification of food from regional farms
- use of seasonal produce; regional produce is available all year long
- use of Fair Trade organic coffees and teas
- pitchers or aervoids of chilled water instead of plastic bottles
- use of re–usable dishes, cutlery, and glasses/cups or biodegradable paper products
- no individually–wrapped condiments
- no plastic coffee stirrers, straws, etc.
- cotton tablecloths, if table tops even need covering
- either cotton napkins or natural brown paper napkins
- use of sustainable table centerpieces
- provision of recycling bins unless it’s a drop–off
- endorsement of the Yale Sustainable Food Project
