Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference Ivy League

Yale Cycling is a member of the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference (ECCC), arguably the fastest conference in the country. We also have the pleasure of competing simultaneously within the Ivy League. We spend our Falls racing New England cyclocross, our Winters enjoying the New Haven weather, and the Springs road racing at schools all over the North East. Join us on one of our many group rides and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have questions. We welcome riders of all levels.

Yale Cycling - Fall Cyclocross

Fall Cyclocross

The start of the school year calls for new textbooks, yes. But it also calls for toe spikes, FMB tubulars, sand, barriers, and a whole lot of mud. We spend our opening months racing the New England cyclocross scene, getting to mix it up with pros and other amateur riders on the circuit.

Yale Cycling - Winter Training

Winter Training

The New Haven winters aren't always the kindest but we train on. Even when the days start getting short and the roads start getting icy, the team still rides together. We just grab our fleece-lined bib tights, slap on our fenders, and put in some long base miles.

Yale Cycling - Spring Road

Spring Road

There is absolutely nothing more fun than a spring collegiate cycling season. We head off to races every weekend all over the North East with our team trailer loaded with bikes and equipment. With three or four events every weekend, we get our healthy mix of time trialing, crit racing, and road racing.

Yale Cycling - Team Work

Teamwork

Collegiate cycling puts an invaluable emphasis on teamwork. Every racer contributes to the team's overall score at the end of a race weekend. Intro riders can be just as responsible for a team victory as the top A category riders so Yale's deep team makes us a force to be reckoned with.

Yale Cycling - Winning

Winning

We win. After putting in all our hard work we like to see results. Yale Cycling is consistently at the top of the ECCC standings and the team won the Ivy League Cup in 2012, proving our competitiveness. The last two years, we've fielded full 8 person teams at the national championships and we are poised to do so for years to come.
