So...you think you got what it takes to go fast? You think you got the guts to cut 90-degree corners on a machine with wheels as thin as a MacBook? The drive and motivation to keep pedaling just to get that fresh batch of coffee in Guilford? Welcome to the Yale Cycling team. We are a diverse crowd of undergrad, graduate, and professional students. We like to ride bikes. We like to race bikes. We like people who like bikes.
The Yale Cycling Team is primarily geared towards road racing in the spring season. We race all over New England in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference (ECCC), which lasts from March to May. During fall and winter, we have members who also mountain bike and cyclo-cross. So if you are a non-roadie type, don't worry...there are people who like rough terrain too.
If you just like bikes (and not sure about racing), by all means, you should still come out on our many group rides. We train all over southern Connecticut, and will show you that yes, real country roads do exist around New Haven.
