Previous racing/athletic experience:

This will be my first season racing on a road bike so I hope it will be a positive one. Previously I had been devoted to running (1500m, 10km, x-country, half marathons and fell running), mountaineering (the highlight being the 14 peaks endurance event in Snowdonia) and badminton. I advanced to triathlons in 2005, finishing the season with my first Olympic distance tri.

During triathlon training I found that I had a passion for cycling, which I hope will be fueled by joining the team, training hard, taking advice from seasoned riders and ultimately competing in the 2006 season. I find that my animal personality (horse) urges me to escape into the great outdoors and does not allow me to be sedentary for long. In addition, I enjoy using my fixed gear bike as a training tool as it is a great way to experience cycling at it’s purest.
