About the Workshop

The Comparative Politics Workshop is a forum for the presentation of ongoing work (working papers, dissertation proposals and chapters) by Yale students and Yale and external faculty in a rigorous and critical environment.  The workshop’s methodological and substantive range is broad.  The workshop meets on Tuesdays between 12:00 and 1:30 pm at Rosenkratz Hall, Room 005.  There are no formal presentations.  Papers are due one week in advance and are read in advance by participants.  A student discusses the paper for about 15 to 20 minutes, followed by a response by the presenter and open discussion.  The workshop faculty director is Stathis Kalyvas (stathis.kalyvas@yale.edu) and the coordinator is Luis Schiumerini (luis.schiumerini@yale.edu) [write to him if you are interested in joining the mailing list of the workshop].
