YUHS offers counseling, birth control, STD testing,
and emergency contraception. For more information on pregnancy or
pregnancy termination, you can call the Gynecology department. All students are
covered for these primary care services even if they waived Major Medical and
Specialty Services.

The can do evidence collection, provide contraceptives, and test for STDs and pregnancy. If you have been raped, do NOT shower, and come in within 72 hours. If you have questions about the evidence collection kit, call 2-TALK and we can tell you about the procedure. Emergency contraceptives must be taken within 72 hours as well. Please be aware that, while the evidence collection kit is cost-free in Connecticut, everything else at YNHH is not covered by Yale’s general health plan. If you do not have Yale’s hospitalization coverage, and do not want to have any prescriptions or treatment recorded on insurance statements from your insurance carrier (which could be sent home), you might want to go to YUHS for further treatment.
Sexual Harassment Grievance Board
Yale’s Sexual Harassment Grievance Board has student and faculty members who provide both confidential consultation as well as disciplinary action.
