NEW HOURS!

Every Day, 11 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Maybe you just want YUHS’s number. Maybe a close friend—or yourself—needs help, and you don’t know where to turn. No matter what the situation is, we’re trained to help.

Consent was formed in the spring of 1993 by a dedicated group of undergraduate men and women to fill a need on Yale’s campus for peer counseling and education, addressing issues of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and childhood sexual assault. Not politically motivated, Consent is made up of individuals with diverse values and opinions. Its mission is to promote discussion and provide a supportive atmosphere for all students.

What do our promises of confidentiality and anonymity mean? They mean no records of your call will be kept, no names or contact information will be collected, and Consent counselors are not permitted to discuss your phone call with anyone outside of the organization. In short, your questions and concerns NEVER leave our office.
