A limited number of dormitory rooms will be available for families and guests of graduates. Reservations are handled by Yale Custodial Services, which will send details to parents of seniors in November. Guests of Graduate and professional school degree candidates may call 203 432-0142 for information.

Accommodations
You and other guests will likely share a suite with an unfurnished living room, in-suite bathroom and one or more bedrooms. Bedrooms are furnished with one or two single beds, dressers, desks, and chairs. Rooms will be cleaned and beds made up with linens, blanket, and pillow. Towels and soap will be provided, but no other personal toiletries. Daily maid service is not available.

Fees
There is a flat rate of $140 per person for one, two, or three nights.

Dates
Housing is available only on the following days: Saturday, May 23; Sunday, May 24; and Monday, May 25.

Check-in and check-out
The housing office is located on Old Campus in room MB12 of McClellan Hall. McClellan is a brick building with green shutters, located in the southwestern quadrant of Old Campus near Chapel and High Streets. Guests may check in any time after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23. The housing office will remain staffed 24 hours a day until noon on Tuesday, May 26, when all rooms must be vacated. (There will be no exceptions to this check-out date.)

Keys

Each suite door and most bedroom doors open with a key, which will be provided at check-in. An electronic access device, which is required to enter the building, will also be provided at check-in.

Special needs
Let us know as soon as possible of any medical condition or special needs you or your guests may have. We will attempt to accommodate those needs in our room assignments. Due to limited room availability, however, a guest requiring a lower floor will be housed with one other family member only. Other family members will likely be housed on an upper floor. Please note that elevators are not available in most buildings.

Reservations
Application forms will be mailed to parents of seniors in November; duplicates may be obtained by calling 203 432-0142. Completed forms with check or money order payable to Yale University should be sent to: Commencement Housing Office, Yale University, P.O. Box 207135, New Haven, CT 06520-7135. Confirmation letters will be mailed the last week of April.

Reservations are on a first-come basis.

Deadline/Refunds
Reservations with application form and fee will be accepted no later than Monday, April 6, 2009. A $20.00 charge will be applied to refunds for cancellations made prior to May 1; no refunds will be given after that date.
