Grey skies gave way to sunshine as degrees were conferred on more than 3,000 members of Yale University's Class of 2013 on Monday, May 20. Among the ten honorary degree recipients were Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor LAW '79, FedEx founder Frederick Smith '66, and American composer John Adams. Not listed in the program was an honorary doctorate of humane letters presented to a surprised Richard C. Levin, who retires after twenty years as Yale's President.
Commencement 2014 will take place on Monday, May 19, with events for seniors and their guests beginning Saturday, May 17. The following pages will be updated in early November to reflect activities for Commencement 2014.
