About Us

MEMBERS

Members of the club swim team are undergraduates, graduates, and professional school students at Yale University. They come from a variety backgrounds and have a variety of skill levels. Some are very accomplished swimmers who are drawn to the club because of its low time commitment; others have never been on a swim team before — but all members share a love of the sport.

PRACTICES

A combination of dryland and swim workouts are held on most weekdays. All swim practices are held at the 3^rd Floor Practice Pool at Payne Whitney Gymnasium. The practice schedule is as follows:

MEETS

The Club usually participates in 6-7 meets per year. Click on the ‘Schedule’ tab above for current information.

COACHES

Lugar Choi & Jennifer Karinen

Lugar and Jennifer are both varsity swimmers and we are pleased to have them coaching for us this year. They combine a series of drills, long-distance workouts, and core strengthening exercises to provide for an effective training regimen that focuses on stroke technique and building endurance.

INTERESTED IN JOINING?

Contact the President or Captain. They will be able to sign you up for our email list. After trying out our team for 2 weeks, you can then decide to register for the team by going to the home page and clicking on “Registration.”
