Noreen is a first year student in the Classical Philology track. She earned a B.A. magna cum laude in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where she wrote her undergraduate thesis on wealth and image during the early Roman Empire. She is interested in themes of luxury, reputation, and cultural exchange.
In 2012, Noreen took part in the Summer Session of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. The summer before starting at Yale, she had the opportunity to return to Greece for one month, staying with a family in Arachova and learning how to weave and speak Modern Greek.
