Luke Patient

Before entering the Joint Program in Classics and Philosophy in 2011, Luke studied for a year at Augustine College (Ottawa), completed a B.A. in English Literature at the University of Pennsylvania (2007), and completed an M.A. in Classics (Classical Philology emphasis) at the University of Arizona (2011), where he wrote a thesis under Julia Annas on the definition of eudaimonia in Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics. He is currently interested in differing conceptualizations of truth in classical antiquity; the ontological and epistemological foundations of ancient ethics; and, most broadly, the interconnections between language, knowledge, truth, and the good.
