Alissa Abrams

is a doctoral student in Ancient History. She received her B.A. from Columbia University and J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. After serving as a law clerk in the United States Federal Courts, she returned to academia to pursue interests in both law and the ancient world.

Alissa’s current academic interests include comparative law and society, legal history, ancient conceptions of character and morality, and ancient rhetoric. She also has a fondness for ancient poetry, especially archaic Greek poetry and Latin elegiac poetry. Non-academic interests include ballet and furry animals of all kinds.
