Introducing The SHORT Circuit

For those in-between times when there is important, but not lengthy, news for the Yale community, The Circuit will go short.

Upgrades

• Central Email Configuration Tool enhanced

1. To enhance overall sescurity and offer single sign-on capability with othe CAS applications, logging in is now controlled by Yale's Central Authentication Service (CAS).

2. A simplified SPAM Management tool has been added to allow users to filter messages sent from known SPAM sources into a special folder which can be set to purge older messages each night.

3. The disk usage section now has easy options to remove messages older than a specified time for server-based folders.

• Software library released - download software that has been licensed for use at the University and obtain information on special purchase programs for academically priced software.
  

• New help system for FAS faculty members from the FAS IT Support Program -- to request help with IT-related problems, simply send email to faculty.support@yale.edu, and a support specialist will contact you as soon as possible.
