Driving Directions to Conference Location
The following directions will take you to Linsly-Chittenden Hall, the conference venue. LC Hall is located at 63 High Street, one building down from the corner of High and Chapel Streets in New Haven, CT. If you ever get lost on campus, consult the Yale Campus Map or ask a student for directions.
Interstate 95
From the North: Turn off I-95 at I-91 North exit (Hartford, Springfield exit) and continue for a short distance on I-91 to Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Stay in the middle lane and continue straight through the light on to Trumbull Street. At the fourth light, turn left on to Prospect Street. At the first light, Prospect Street becomes College Street. Continue on College Street for two blocks and make a right on to Chapel Street. At the first light, make a right on to High Street. LC Hall will be the second building on the right.
From the South: Take exit 49, I-91 North (Hartford, Springfield exit). Continue for a short distance on I-91 to Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Interstate 91
From North and South: Take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Stay in the middle lane and continue straight through the light on to Trumbull Street. At the fourth light, turn left on to Prospect Street. At the first light, Prospect Street becomes College Street. Continue on College Street for two blocks and make a right on to Chapel Street. At the first light, make a right on to High Street. LC Hall will be the second building on the right.
Route 15 (Wilbur Cross/Merrit Highways)
From North: Take Exit 61. Drive south on Whitney Avenue for approximately 5 miles. Shortly after the intersection with Sachem Street, the road will split. Stay to the right and you will be on Temple Street. Make a right on to Chapel Street. Make another right on to High Street. LC Hall will be the second building on the right.
From South: Take Exist 57. Drive east on Route 34 (Derby Avenue) for five miles until you reach the fork of Derby Avenue and George Street (3 blocks after the athletic fields). Bear right on to George Street. Continue to York Street. Make a left on to York Street and then a right on to Crown Street. Continue to High Street and make a left. After one block, you will cross Chapel Street. LC Hall will be the second building on the right.
Getting
to New Haven
By Air: If you are flying to Hartford, Newark, LaGuardia,
or JFK, you can take the Connecticut Limo into New Haven. To reserve,
please visit http://www.ctlimo.com/ or call them at 1-800-472-LIMO. If you are coming to New Haven Tweed Airport, a taxi will take you
straight to Yale campus for around $10.
By Train: If you are taking a train into Union Station,
you can hop on a bus to get to Downtown New Haven. The J bus runs
regularly back and forth from the station to Downtown (the New Haven
Green), and costs only $1. For bus schedules, see http://www.cttransit.com/content/routesNewHaven.asp.
You can also take a taxi.
Parking
If you are staying at one of the hotels in Downtown New
Haven, you’ll want to keep your car parked in their parking lots.
Otherwise,
on Saturdays, there is free parking on Chapel Street (from College
to Park) on both sides of the road.
You can also purchase 12 hour parking vouchers from the New Haven
Free Public Library (on the corner of Temple and Elm) or Atticus Books
(on the corner of Chapel and High) among other places. These vouchers
will allow you to park in the street anywhere where there is a 12-hour
limit (the right side of Grove St from College to the Payne Whitney
Gym or the left side of Park St in the block between Elm and Edgewood).

you can park in any paid parking lot or garage: prices range from

Omni New Haven Hotel – 1 800 THE-OMNI. 155 Temple St (5-10
minute walk form event). $125 and up. Note: this hotel is
largely agreed upon to be the most luxurious in New Haven. Parking
is available.

walk from event). $44 and up. This hotel is old (the elevator
is manual), but it is a nice stay and very affordable (especially
for students). If you are a student and will not have a car at the
conference, this is probably your best bargain.
