CIQLE Methodological Workshop
Causal Inference with Observational Data

February 3rd - February 4th, 2007

A two-day workshop on Causal Inference with Ken Frank from Michigan State University as instructor. All meetings will take place in the StatLab, 100 Urban Hall, 140 Prospect Street in New Haven. Examples will be in SAS. On Day One, a short introduction to SAS will be provided. Please RSVP with ciqle@yale.edu. Lunch will be served (Day Two only).

This one-day workshop with Felix Elwert from the University of Wisconsin - Madison provides a broad conceptual introduction to counterfactual causal inference for time-varying treatments as developed by Jamie Robins and colleagues in biostatistics.

Multilevel Discrete-time Event History Analysis Workshop

November 16, 2008

This one-day workshop with Fiona Steele from the University of Bristol provides an introduction to discrete-time methods for the analysis of complex event history data. The emphasis throughout the course will be on conceptual understanding, practical issues in the application of multilevel discrete-time methods, and interpreting the results. Knowledge of logistic regression analysis is a prerequisite, and some familiarity with event history analysis and multilevel modelling of two-level continuous response data will be assumed.
